Seismic Bars
Townshend seismic bars and corners your choice when space is at a premium without compromise in sound
Introducing the Townshend Seismic Isolation Bars—an ideal choice for audiophiles seeking effective speaker support in compact spaces. These innovative bars are designed to accommodate smaller speakers, including bookshelf monitors and mid-sized floor standers while taking up less visual and spatial room compared to traditional podiums. They can however support speakers up to 75Kg if required
Townshend Seismic bars
When space is at a premium
The Townshend Seismic Bars offer more space-saving advantages than the larger Seismic Podiums. With a slimmer profile, they take up less floor space, making them less visually intrusive in your listening environment. Their adjustable design allows them to fit a wide range of speakers as long as the paired speakers have similar weights. This flexibility, combined with their discreet presence, makes Seismic Bars an ideal solution for those seeking effective vibration isolation without sacrificing space or aesthetics.
Sleek, strong and adjustable
TThe adjustable design allows you to tailor the bars to various speakers, provided they fall within the recommended weight thresholds, ensuring versatility and optimal audio performance. Each bar comprises a very strong steel cross-piece with raised ends, under which are attached two Seismic Load Cells™.that, chosen to match the weight of your speakers.
choosing correct size for your seismic Bars
The Seismic Bars are available with five different weight range capacities, varying progressively from less than 5kg up to potentially over 75kg.
We strongly recommend using Seismic Podiums for loads above 30kg however it is possible to up to 75kg with Subs and low centre of gravity components for ease of use and stability reasons; especially on equipment taller than 1m and/or high centre of gravity.
We suggest, for reasons of ease of set-up and loads that are not equally distributed, that consumers always select the stronger Load Cell where two values overlap the calibrated chart used for selecting the correct loadcell known as a ‘loadcell selection chart’
For example, when using four (4) type “C” Load Cells, the maximum supported weight should be equal to or less than 52.4 Kg.
Utilizing a similar isolation technology as the Seismic Podiums, the bars feature a more straightforward construction that maintains performance without the heavy encasing, isolating vibrations down to 3Hz for significant sonic improvements.
Instalation
To install, first, remove any spikes or cones from your speakers and slip one bar under the front of the speaker. Then tilt the speaker forward and slide the second bar under the rear. Very small adjustments allow for setting the speakers vertical. Even though the speakers are floating, it takes a very big push to topple them.

Seismic Isolation Bars for Speakers and Sub-woofers
Seismic Isolation Bars are designed to break the acoustic connection between the speakers and the floor, thus preventing the passage of unwanted vibration between the two. Used in pairs under any speaker, be it floor standing, stand-mounted or sub-woofers.
Because of the very compliant nature of the Seismic Load Cells™, the speakers effectively float in the room at frequencies above 3Hz. Each bar comprises a very strong steel cross-piece with raised ends under which are attached two Seismic Load Cells™.
The Seismic Bars are available with five different weight range capacities, varying progressively from less than 5kg up to potentially over 75kg.
For example, when using four (4) type “C” Load Cells, the maximum supported weight should be equal to or less than 52.4 Kg, including the weight of the Podium base plate.

My entire system has benefited from the corners. I have moved the platform over to my DAC. I am so astounded by the platform’s benefits and corners that I have ordered the podiums to go under my speakers. I’m bought into the benefits of the Townshend isolation products.

From the moment I put the seismic bars in place the whole sound has been transformed. Not just the bass, which is strong and powerful, but a distinct improvement right the way through the frequency range. Voices and instruments now have a clearer and more natural presentation, all locked in place in a very stable, almost holographic, sound stage.
The change in the mid and high frequencies was far greater than expected. I’m now rediscovering many favourites, and hearing details that I didn’t now were there.
I should have bought these years ago.

I am getting used to the new “sound” of my speakers in my room. There is a definite improvement in sound quality. The image is sharper, the “haze” overall is gone (this was huge), and the bass is more natural. There is no room for “boom.” The depth of the image is similar to the PMC iB2i’s image extremely well, but a touch deeper and wider. Overall, it’s very good!!

Impressive! Townshend Seismic Speaker Bars produce a result
that goes way beyond what you might expect from ‘speakers on
springs’. To get an improvement in absolute resolution, precision
of timing and solidity of stereo image from something so apparent-
ly simple is extraordinary. These things really do change the
game, move the goalposts, and revolutionise the way we should
think about speaker support. This is not an accessory… it’s an
essential.

I tried both with PMC25.23. I had the Gaias for a month, and they cleaned up the mids nicely, but I lost some bass impact. I tried the Townshends, and the bass was better than ever—a true improvement with no downsides.

Townshend Audio’s technology is nothing short of revolutionary. The difference in sound quality is astonishing, and my system sounds more natural and immersive than ever.

Seismic Corners
A one hit wonder
Isolating all audio equipment on any rack or console in one hit
Simply slip each corner under the legs of your furniture to float your audio equipment for immediate and life long sonic bliss. Seismic Corners provide vibration isolation for almost any equipment rack, stand and platforms. Each Seismic Corner is a small platform suspended from two Seismic Load Cells™ on which the equipment legs or spikes are placed.
Designed to float your existing equipment rack in an unobtrusive manner, the Seismic Isolation Corners slip discretely under the bottom corners of your support furniture and bring you all the benefits of Seismic Isolation without major upheaval.
There are two types of Seismic corners S&F
S Type
The S-type seismic Corners are specially designed to fit racks with spiked or tubular legs. They provide superior vibration isolation, shielding your audio equipment from unwanted interference. Perfect for hi-fi racks, these corners are space-efficient, offering adjustable support while maintaining a discreet, low-profile appearance.
Four Corners units can hold equipment weighing up to 400kg.
F Type
The Seismic Corners for flat-bottomed equipment racks offer advanced vibration isolation, ensuring your audio setup performs at its best. Designed to fit racks with flat bases, these corners provide stable, adjustable support while minimizing vibrations, enhancing sound quality and protecting your gear. They are ideal for achieving optimal audio clarity with a clean, unobtrusive look.
